WITH almost 50 wickets and more than 300 runs, Sedgwick all-rounder Jordan Ilsley has been a runaway winner of the Addy's Emu Valley Cricket Association most valuable player for 2019-20.
Using a system of one point per run, 20 points per wicket, 10 points per catch and 15 points per run out or stumping, the Rams' Ilsley racked up 1292 points for the home and away season.
Ilsley was the competition's most dominant bowler, snaring 47 wickets at an average of 10.17.
His highlight games with the ball included a 12-wicket match (7-7 and 5-23) against Axe Creek in round two, 6-19 against Marong in round three and 8-69 against Mandurang in round 11.
As well as his 47 wickets, the hard-hitting Ilsley also made 332 runs for the Rams with a highest score of 63.
Ilsley was one of three players in the competition to rack up more than 1000 points.
United skipper Harry Whittle (1126) and Mandurang captain James Pietromonaco (1095) also amassed 1000-plus points, with Pietromonaco's tally aided by a superb game last round against Axe Creek when he made an unbeaten 100 and took seven wickets.
Rounding out the top five was Spring Gully's Rhys Webb (982) and Emu Creek's Luke Bennett (875).
Webb, Whittle and Bennett also finished top five last season.
A total of 210 players featured in the MVP points, with top side Spring Gully and Emu Creek each having the most players in the top 50 with seven apiece.
