There was nothing to stop the pedal-power of Ruby Roseman-Gannon and Alex Martin Wallace in the Bendigo Women's Madison.
The pair took control of the race from the start, dominating the sprints to finish on 50 points.
They have both won the race before partnered with different teammates, Roseman-Gannon in 2018 with Samantha De Ritter and Martin Wallace in 2019 with Kristina Clonen.
Ahead of the 2020 race, they didn't quite know what to expect of the field.
However, all the Water Wheel Wines backed racers knew was that they were going to give it their best effort.
"All we knew was that we were going to do the best we could," Martin Wallace said.
"We wanted to make the most of it and learn for future races."
The win was extra momentous for the duo, to win the women's race the first time it was ever held on the Sunday night of the carnival, also coinciding with International Women's Day.
"Pretty awesome vibe tonight," Roseman-Gannon said.
"It's International Women's Day so what a special race to win.
"This is only our second race together and Alex couldn't have ridden any better, she just kept smashing it."
The pair who also live together had been hard at work preparing for the race during the past two weeks.
"We were fresh into it all, but it's paid off with help from support behind us," Martin Wallace said.
With a 2020 Bendigo International Madison title now to their names, the pair have their sights set on next week's Manchester Six Day Series.
"Hopefully we can put into place all the processes we've been working on over in Manchester," Martin Wallace said.
