Two cars have crashed at the intersection of Morrison and Queen streets in Kangaroo Flat. A maroon Ford Territory has crashed through the fence of a house after a hitting a Holden sedan parked on the nature strip. Police, CFA and paramedics were called to the scene just before 2pm. Morrison Street is closed at Queen Street while police are directing traffic through Queen Street. Bendigo Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Niall King said police would investigate all possibilities. He said the driver of the maroon Ford had been taken to hospital with minor injuries. "At this stage we're still unsure what's happened," Leading Senior Constable King said. "We're speaking with witnesses. "(The driver) claims an oncoming car diverged into her lane causing her to lose control, run off the road into a parked car and fence. "We're asking anyone who saw (the crash) to contact Bendigo Police and help clarify what's gone on. "Obviously today, with the wet roads, people need to be driving to conditions."
