Greener is great
Yes please, loving the sound of a shadier, cooler Bendigo.
Deciduous trees where possible. Thanks.

Lockout laws regret
From my research Bendigo nightlife started slowly dying when the lockout law come in to play.
Most of the older people I talk to said they only stop going out because of the lockout laws.
As a non -rinker the lockout laws puts a big hole in my night.
It's when the clubs closes that all the main problems start.
Even if they move the lockout laws to 2.30am it would be great.

Coal stunt burns
Pat Horan (17/2/20) asks, "Remember Mr. Morrison proudly waving a lump of coal in Parliament?"
We now know that it was a carefully lacquered lump of coal, to protect the pristine fingers of our PM, and his ministers.
"This is coal, don't be frightened," he preached.
What Mr. Morrison didn't do was ignite the coal, for that is what many of us are concerned about.
It is not the lump of compressed vegetable matter that frightens us, but the continued burning of millions of tons of coal and other fossil fuels each year.
Readers might ask themselves, "Approximately how old was the lump of coal Scott Morrison brought into the House?
Does Mr. Morrison believe the world is that old?
How many of his team believe the world is as old as that lump of coal?"

"It is what it is"
It is what it is may be a statement of resignation but often that resignation may not seem so final with a little thought or action.
For example, residents of a neighbourhood might endure numerous sleepless nights by air-conditioners which run 24 hours a day during extended hot periods, a situation which can be remedied through knowledge of EPA policy.
A friend (as in my own experience) may have a cancer diagnosis and accept routine prescribed treatment when exploration of up-to-date treatments with the specialists, can bring, extended life through well-reasoned discussion.
