Or should Dustin Martin or Joel Selwood get the honour of being named in the centre in the best 22 players the BFNL has produced?
AFL legend Kevin Sheedy will answer those questions when he releases his best 22 players to come out of the BFNL next month.
In association with the Bendigo Jockey Club's Golden Mile Raceday, Sheedy will name his best BFNL products and the 22 players will be honoured at the race meeting on March 28.
"I love country Victoria and I love Bendigo,'' Sheedy said.
"Bendigo's heritage and, of course, the unbelievable footballers it has produced over the years is first class.
"Names like Arthur, Southby, Williams, the Selwoods and, although he played at Castlemaine, we're including Dusty Martin in our squad as well given he started his career in the BFNL.
"Once the final team is announced, we're looking to invite as many players as we can to the Golden Mile Raceday and we want all of Bendigo, and the good country folk around Victoria, to come to the Bendigo racecourse and enjoy city-class racing."
From March 6, each Friday on the Bendigo Advertiser website and in the print edition, Sheedy will name his best 22 players, starting with the backline.
The midfield group will be released on March 13, the forwards on March 20 and the interchange bench on March 27.
To add to the football theme, all AFL club members will receive complimentary admission to Golden Mile Raceday.
The Golden Mile Raceday is also a full reciprocal race meeting for members of Victorian country and metropolitan clubs.
The feature standalone race meeting has increased prizemoney to more than $1.1 million this year.
"Each year the Golden Mile Raceday produces quality winners who go on to greater heights and last year was no exception with Prince of Sussex taking out the 2YO Gold Rush before winning in dominant fashion at his following start at Caulfield,'' BJC chief executive Aaron Hearps said.
"That was his last start in Australia before being sold to race in Hong Kong for $1.75m, so the strength of the card is always first-class."
Free return buses from Ballarat, Benalla, Echuca, Stawell and Swan Hill will also be on offer to the public.
Tickets for Golden Mile Raceday are already on sale at country.racing.com/bendigo
All bookings made before March 10 will automatically be entered into a draw to win a TCL television valued at $800.
