The 26-year-old man has been charged with one count of manslaughter over the incident at a sporting club on Broadway, Wycheproof, about 9.30pm, August 30, 2019.
Paramedics worked on the 56-year-old Wycheproof man John Durie, however he died at the scene.
OTHER NEWS:
Mr Durie was remembered as a "family man, a community man" after his death.
The 26-year-old man will appear at Swan Hill Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else over the incident.
