The Axedale GC product finished T38 on the leaderboard at three-under par.
Mueck fired an opening round of three-under 67, boosted by an eagle on the par five 448m 10th hole.
He then made the weekend cut with a following round of two-under 68.
During the third round a double-bogey on the par four 350m 13th hole impeded Mueck's chance of another under-par round, this time walking off the course at even par 70.
In the final round Mueck's front-nine was hindered by five bogeys, setting a big challenge for the back.
He then went on to finish at two-over 72.
Queensland native Michael Sim (12-under) won the tournament after a nail-biting four-hole playoff against Scott Arnold.
