BRIDGEWATER and Inglewood will face off against each other next Saturday where the ramifications couldn't be any simpler - the winner plays Upper Loddon Cricket Association finals; the loser is finished.
Bridgewater's loss on Saturday, coupled with Inglewood's win, has the two sides separated by just three points from fourth to fifth heading into next weekend's final round.
The Bulls left the door to the top four ajar for Inglewood when they were beaten by Kingower.
Kingower made the most of the invitation to bat first, cracking 3-205 off its 35 overs, with the backbones of the innings Jayden Leach (79 n.o.) and skipper Braydon Welsh (78).
The Bulls' chase got off to a disastrous start early when they crashed to 3-4 before being all out for 129 in the 28th over to fall 76 short.
Lachie Ross too-scored with 59 for the Bulls, while Leach capped a solid all-round game for Kingower by taking 3-13 with the ball.
In other games, Newbridge (153) defeated Boort Yando (112) by 41 runs.
The Newbridge pair of Michael Rogers (4-11) and Luke Cassells (4-25) both took four wickets as did Boort-Yando's Drew Crilly (4-22).
Newbridge's Cassells also made 56 opening the batting to continue his solid season, with his tally now 516 runs.
Inglewood (135) beat Wedderburn (107) and ladder-leader Arnold defeated Serpentine by forfeit.
