The Kangaroo Flat man was remanded in custody an out-of-sessions hearing on Friday night.
He will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court for a filing hearing on Monday.

A SECOND person has been charged following a non-fatal shooting of a Sunshine man on February 8.
The 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man has been charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury, and conduct endangering life.
He will appear before an out of sessions hearing on Friday evening.

A 30-year-old Long Gully woman appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.
She was remanded in custody and will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court in May.

A MAN and a woman have been arrested in Bendigo following the non-fatal shooting of a Sunshine man on February 8.
Armed Crime Squad detectives arrested a 30-year-old Long Gully woman yesterday.
She has been charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally and recklessly cause serious injury, conduct endangering life and prohibited person possess and use firearm.
She's expected to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
A 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was also arrested in White Hills and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Detectives also located the four-wheel drive which had been seen in the area prior to the shooting. It will now undergo forensic testing.
Police say the 57-year-old Sunshine man was shot as he got out of his vehicle in the driveway of a property on Belleview Drive, Sunbury, about 1am on February 8.
