A SINGLE lane bridge near Maryborough has been widened and strengthened in a bid to allow more trucks to use the country road.
Construction workers have transformed the small bridge on Porteous Road in Wareek, an area west of Maryborough.
The single lane over the Bet Bet Creek has been removed and replaced by a two lane bridge.
The structure has also been strengthened to handle bigger trucks that ship agricultural goods through, and out of, the region.
