Colourful lions, drums and hard-working dancers travelled through the city centre this morning, blessing businesses for Chinese New Year.
Central Victorian Lion Team president Garry Sea said the group saved its Bendigo blessings to the end of the new year period.

Dancers have travelled around the state to bless businesses, from Preston to Ballarat, to Castlemaine.
Mr Sea said the businesses hung a bok choi, or another green, outside their shopfront, normally quite high.
The lion took it as a challenge to reach the green, before chewing it up and throwing it back.
"That's throwing in the offering of prosperity and good luck for the next year," Mr Sea said.
The practice is down worldwide for Chinese New Year.
Mr Sea said the children loved doing the blessings.
"It's not like a team sport where one or two might not be good enough to represent the team," he said.
"We consider everybody on the same equal sort of level, the little ones right up to the 30 and 40-year-olds."
