Police executed a warrant at a Nhill address on Thursday morning after they received a number of reports of garden ornaments thefts from Kaniva, Nhill, Jeparit, Dimboola, Warracknabeal and Horsham during January.
More than 150 garden statues, gnomes, and assorted garden ornaments were found at the address.
A 44-year-old Nhill man was arrested. He will be bailed to appear at the Horsham Magistrates' Court at a later date.
In a statement, police said they were yet to identify owners for some of the ornaments and encouraged people who believed they had items stolen to contact police.
