Schepers, Pengelly, Parker and Scoble families have all played a big part in the club's history.

There is now a new name to add to the list, Edlin.

This year five members of the Edlin family will be part of the Hawks' senior women's soccer squad.

Father-son Bruce and Jed will take the reigns as coaches while sisters Carnie, Grace and Charli are on the playing roster.

For Bruce and Jed it will be the first time they have taken on the top job together.

"We will share training duties and we will come up with a plan for games that suits both of us," Bruce said.

"Jed will be more vocal on Sundays where I will sit back and watch, I will let him take the reigns as much as possible and I will act more as an advisor."

Bruce has decades of experience on the field with Spring Gully which he will bring to his new role as co-coach.

For Jed, it's his first time as a coach, an exciting challenge he is more than ready to tackle.

"I am very keen to learn from Dad to see what he knows," Jed said.

"As a coach, it's another way I can contribute to the club instead of just being a player."

Jed has played soccer for majority of his life, also spending time playing football with Sandhurst.

Bouncing between the two codes has given him a great insight into both games on how they compliment each other.

"It makes you think a lot more about positioning across the field," Jed said.

"It helped give me insight into what to do next after each move."

On the team will be Bruce's daughters Carnie, Grace and Charli.

"All of us together, it could cause some problems," Bruce laughed

"We will always leave it on the park and not take it home with us."

For the sister-trio it will be the fourth year playing soccer together, in addition to time on the field together playing Australian Rules.

"We had a strong season in 2019 and we hope to start the same this year," Carnie said.

Carnie was pleased to have her father and brother as coaches, with her sisters on the field.

"It will be interesting, we all bicker a lot so we will have to see how that goes," she joked.

FC Eaglehawk president Ben Pengelly said he was thrilled with the commitment from the Edlin family.

"We've had a father-son coach before but never five direct family members as part of the one team," Pengelly said. "It's great to have the Edlins on board and even better that they have come to Eaglehawk."
