The new facility will ensure families can access kindergarten programs and family services in the same space.
The Harcourt Uniting Church had been providing a space for the preschool centre for the past 70 years. A church spokesperson said they welcomed the announcement.
"Harcourt families, and the wider community, have given tremendous grass-roots support to our home-grown preschool centre so as to ensure a reasonably-priced, high-quality educational foundation for district kids," the spokesperson said.
"We rejoice in the prospect of new and improved kindergarten facilities for our expanding township.
"Harcourt is definitely a growing area, and Harcourt families are worthy of the very best educational outcomes for the next generation."
Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards said the state government would continue to upgrade infrastructure around the state to support early learning facilities.
"This is about ensuring Harcourt families have access to stronger support in early childhood, so kids are ready for kinder, ready for school and ready for life," Ms Edwards said.
"This exciting new project will ensure local children can get the most out of their time at kindergarten and will support the community into the future.
"I look forward to working with the preschool community as we deliver this new facility."
