The only difference is she'll be wearing a hearing aid. Mia will begin her schooling at the Bendigo Deaf Facility, as part of Kennington Primary School on Friday.
She'll work with teachers at the Deaf Facility for part of the day and a mainstream classroom for the rest.

Mum Steph Henderson said that extra bit of one-on-one help in a quiet environment would make a difference for her daughter, who has mild to moderate hearing loss.
Ms Henderson said she'd hoped to send her daughters to Kennington Primary School even before she found out they had hearing loss, because of the school's Auslan program.
The school is bilingual, giving all students the chance to learn Auslan.
Mia was born with genetic hearing loss, as was her older sister Jordan. She's had a hearing aid since eight-weeks old.
Mia is looking forward to making things at school and playing with her friends.
She'll join older sister Jordan at the primary school.
