Rubbish has been appearing periodically along Emu Creek roads since at least early-2019, they said.

Now, the problem appears to be getting worse.

"It's been ramping up. It might have originally been once every six weeks, then once every four weeks," the resident said.

"Now it might be every couple of weeks."

The person asked not to be named out of concern it might make them a target for any reprisals.

They do not know who is dumping rubbish on Mannes Road, Axe Creek Road and Emu Creek Road, but say there are similarities between many of the offences.

"It's often half a trailer-load or so at a time," they said.

"We think someone has parked literally right on the side of the road and shoved everything out over the side of their vehicle."

The resident believes the dumping is happening at night.

Rubbish dumps photographed and shared by residents on an Emu Creek Facebook forum shows everything from building material to furniture.

"The last lot was tree prunings. That's a new one," the resident said.

Strathfieldsaye has its own transfer station, so it is not as if there is no way for residents to get rid of unwanted goods, they said.

People are also dumping trash in the nearby Greater Bendigo National Park.

"We have these photos of this massive pile of black bags with rubbish in them," the resident said.

The resident hopes authorities can catch the dumpers but is not sure if and how how much more they can do.

They do a good job cleaning up when its reported, the resident said.

"They are coming out through the area all the time having to pick up people's waste," they said.

People should report anything suspicious contact Crime Stoppers or the council, the resident said.

Both the City of Greater Bendigo and Parks Victoria are being contacted for comment.
