A TWENTY20 flag locked away, one-day final on the horizon and sitting second on the ladder in the BDCA season-proper - Huntly-North Epsom's approach to its cricket is certainly paying dividends.
And it's an approach that gun all-rounder and Twenty20 captain Adam Ward describes as built on being good mates firstly, followed by just simply going out and enjoying the game of cricket - whatever the form.
"We're a great bunch of mates and that's a key to what we've been able to do... we're not overly stressed whether we win or lose; at the end of the day we just want to turn up and enjoy ourselves," Ward said after Wednesday night's Twenty20 grand final win over Kangaroo Flat.
"If we win then it's a positive; if we lose there's some frustration, but it's not the end of the world for us.
"The most pleasing part is seeing where the club has come from to now being in the position of where we are... who knows what could happen for the rest of the year."
The Power - a club that one stage went winless for 78 consecutive first XI games during the 2000s - has become one of the sides to be reckoned in the BDCA.
After winning last season's first XI premiership the Power are setting themselves up nicely for a crack at back-to-back flags, sitting second on the ladder with 45 points and only percentage behind Strathdale-Maristians.
Their 38-run win over Kangaroo Flat on Wednesday night in which Ward was man-of-the-match for his double of 35 and 3-24 now gives the Power two Twenty20 titles.
Strathdale-Maristians (five) is the only other club with multiple Twenty20 titles in the 12 years of the competition.
And they also have the Keck-Findlay Shield one-day final against the Suns to look forward to later this season at a date yet to be confirmed.
"The moment this group stops having fun is the moment we'll probably lose this momentum of what we've got," Ward said.
"But I can't see that happening any time soon... it has taken us a long time to get to this point and we want to enjoy it for a lot longer."
