After Brayden Stepien took centre stage on Monday, Seymour gave Big Bash League clubs a little reminder of his class with a half-century against Queensland.
Batting at number six, Seymour made 52 off 46 balls, including four sixes, as the Vics made 5-146 off 20 overs.
Dumped Brisbane Heat opener Max Bryant smashed an unbeaten 48 off 19 balls to have Queensland 1-75 off just 5.4 overs before heavy rain fell and the home side won on Duckworth-Lewis.
After making 65 as an opener against NSW Metro on day one, Stepien was moved to number six for Tuesday morning's game against Tasmania and made six.
Against Queensland he batted at three and made 19 off 11 balls, including two sixes and one four, before falling to Cameron Gannon.
Former Strathfieldsaye opening bowler Xavier Crone played in the morning loss to Tasmania.
He had figures of 0-21 off three overs as Tassie posted 4-176 off 20 overs.
Former Bendigo junior Sam Elliott had a rough start to his carnival. He had figures of 1-55 off his four overs against Tassie and 0-15 off four balls before the rain hit against Queensland.
Victoria has an 0-3 record ahead of Wednesday's return clash with NSW Metro.
