Over the space of two innings, 24 hours apart, the former White Hills keeper-batsman made 127 runs off 46 balls, including 11 fours and 11 sixes.
It started with a stunning 62 not out off 19 balls in 22 minutes for his Premier Cricket club Carlton in Sunday's Super Slam T20 conference final against Northcote.
On Monday he backed it up for Victoria in the Futures League T20 carnival on the Sunshine Coast.
Opening the batting, Stepien smashed 65 off 27 balls in 27 minutes against NSW Metro.
Stepien's half-century came off just 22 balls as he combined with skipper Will Pucovski to make 62 runs off the opening five overs.
Despite Stepien's sizzling start the Victorian side couldn't chase down NSW Metro's total of 5-177.
They finished 7-153 off their 20 overs.
Another former BDCA player - James Seymour - made a first-ball duck after coming in at number five.
Seymour, who opens the batting for Essendon, had earlier taken 2-6 off two overs with his off-spinners.
Stepien's Carlton team-mate, former Strathfieldsaye quick, Xavier Crone took the opening wicket of the game and at one stage had 1-8 off two overs.
He finished the innings with figures of 1-30 off his four overs.
Victoria plays two games on Tuesday against Tasmania (morning) and Queensland (afternoon).
Two more matches are scheduled for Wednesday, with one game to complete the carnival on Thursday.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Stepien humiliated Northcote's opening bowlers with a breathtaking display of power, class and creativity.
Chasing Northcote's paltry total of 85 at Princes Park, Stepien and opening partner Evan Gulbis took just 4.1 overs to win the game for the Blues.
Stepien blasted 62 not out off 19 balls, while Gulbis made an unbeaten 20.
Stepien's knock included seven sixes and four fours and was described by long-time Carlton Cricket Club scorer Kevin O'Neill as the most amazing innings he's seen in his time at the club.
If Northcote opening bowlers Sam Harbinson and Michael Edwards pitched the ball short, Stepien pulled them with ferocity over mid-wicket.
If they pitched the ball up he hit them back over their head for six.
Anything in between he ramped over the wicket-keeper's head or played "traditional" cricket shots through the off-side.
Left-armer Edwards was left with figures of 0-47 from his two overs, while Harbinson had 0-31 off his two overs.
The win in the Renegades conference final earned the Blues a place in next Sunday's Super Slam grand final at the Junction Oval against the Stars conference winners the Monash Tigers.
The curtain-raiser for the Carlton-Monash game is the Regional Big Bash final between Strathdale-Maristians and Langwarrin.
