A motorist caught speeding almost 30km/h over the limit has received a good behaviour bond and a fine.
The man was detected travelling on the Calder Highway at Marong at 127km/h in the 100km/h zone.

He objected to the infringement notice he received, but pleaded guilty to speeding when the matter was brought before the Bendigo Magistrates' Court.
Magistrate Patrick Southey took into account the man's otherwise good driving history in sentencing him to a 12-month good behaviour bond, without conviction, and a $250 donation to the court fund.
