ESSENDON'S preparations for its 2020 AFL season will include a two-day stint in Bendigo next month.
The Bombers will spend February 13 and 14 in Bendigo as part of their community camp.
Essendon's two-day stay will feature an open training session at the QEO, school and hospital visits, session with the AFL Central Victoria Academy, coach education session and supporters function at the Bendigo Club on Thursday, February 13.
"We've got the entire Essendon team coming here, so it's really exciting for the region," AFLCV region manager Carol Cathcart said on Wednesday.
"It will be a great promotion for football and really leads in nicely to the AFLW game we've got (Richmond v Geelong, February 29) next month as well.
"It's really good timing to get footy back on the radar for 2020."
More information on the visit, including ticket details for the supporters function, is expected to be released next week by AFLCV on its website and facebook page.
The 2020 Essendon list includes former Bendigo Pioneer players Jake Stringer and Kobe Mutch.
