Many community groups have been hard at work planning their annual events at various locations.
We have compiled a list of all the events that are being held in central Victoria.

City of Greater Bendigo
Bendigo
- Time: 10am to 3pm.
- Venue: Lake Weeroona, Napier Street, Bendigo.
- Conducted by the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst. Official ceremony at 10.30am. Barbeque, live entertainment, family activities, community displays and the Rotary art and craft market.
Eaglehawk
- Time: 8am to 10.30am.
- Venue: Canterbury Park, Eaglehawk.
- Conducted by the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk Australia Day Committee. Official ceremony at 9am. Live radio broadcast, free community breakfast, Australia Day Ambassador guest speaker, councillor address, flag raising ceremony, live music performance, presentation of Eaglehawk Citizen of the Year.
Golden Square
- Time: 8am to 6pm.
- Venue: Golden Square Community Pool, Maple Street, Golden Square.
- Conducted by the Golden Square Community Pool. Official ceremony at 9am. Free community barbeque, games, competitions and prizes throughout the day.
Kangaroo Flat
- Time: 7am to 10am.
- Venue: Browning Street Oval, north-east corner, Kangaroo Flat.
- Conducted by the Lions Club of Kangaroo Flat. Official ceremony at 8.30am. Barbeque breakfast and musical entertainment.
Strathfieldsaye
- Time: 8am to 9.45am.
- Venue: Wellington Way, Strathfieldsaye Shopping Centre.
- Conducted by the 1st Strathfieldsaye Scout Group and Strathfieldsaye Lions Club. Official ceremony 8.45am. Free barbeque breakfast, face painting, group displays.
Huntly
- Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
- Venue: Garden of Remembrance (next to the Huntly Hall).
- Conducted by the Lions Club of Huntly Epsom. Official ceremony at 6.30pm. Free barbeque dinner, musical entertainment and jumping castle.
Mia Mia
- Time: 8am to 11am.
- Venue: Mia Mia Mechanics Institute, Valley Road.
- Conducted by the Mia Mia Mechanics Institute Committee. Official ceremony at 8am. Barbeque and guest speakers.
Elmore
- Time: 8.30am to 10am.
- Venue: Railway Square, Railway Place, Elmore.
- Conducted by the Elmore Progress Association. Official ceremony at 9.15am. Barbeque breakfast provided, guest speaker and live music.
Maiden Gully
- Time: 7.30am to 9am.
- Venue: Maiden Gully Community Centre, corner Calder Highway and Beckhams Road.
- Conducted by the Lions Club of Maiden Gully/Marong. Official ceremony at 8am. Barbeque breakfast, live music and a jumping castle.
Junortoun
- Time: 8am to 10am.
- Venue: CFA Junortoun, Pope's Road.
- Conducted by the Junortoun Community Action Group and Junortoun CFA. Official ceremony 8.15am. Barbeque breakfast provided.
Axedale
- Time: 8am to 10am.
- Venue: Axedale Hall Park, High Street.
- Conducted by the Axedale Our Town Our Future. Official ceremony at 8.30am. Barbeque, flag raising, live music and award presentations.
Heathcote
- Time: 10am to 2pm.
- Venue: Barrack Reserve Park, High Street, Heathcote.
- Conducted by the Heathcote RSL Sub-Branch Inc. Barbeque breakfast provided and local performers.
Loddon Shire
Boort
- Time: From 9.15am.
- Venue: Nolen's Park, Boort.
- Flag raising, national anthem, morning tea, merry-go-round and speaker Dr Norman Eizenberg.
Bridgewater
- Time: From 8am.
- Venue: Sloan's Park, Bridgewater.
- Flag raising, national anthem, barbeque breakfast and guest speaker Mr Robin Daubney.
Dingee
- Time: From 8.30am.
- Venue: Progress Park, Dingee.

Newbridge

Mount Alexander Shire
Castlemaine
- Time: 10am to noon.
- Venue: Victory Park, Mostyn Street, Castlemaine.
- Nominees and winners of the 2020 Mount Alexander Shire Australia Day Awards and the newest Australian citizens. Australia Day Ambassador Matthew Albert, entertainment from the Corker Orchestra and free ice cream. Rotary Castlemaine will raise money for the bushfire relief fund through food sales.
Campaspe Shire
Echuca/Moama

- Free, family friendly event. Free breakfast and children's activities. Official proceedings to follow at 9.15am. Central Goldfields Shire Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Award of the Year will be named and 13 new Australian citizens welcomed.
