Bendigo detectives are extraditing a man from Queensland over four burglaries, including two at a Bendigo jeweller.

The 18-year-old Eaglehawk man was arrested in Surfers Paradise on Wednesday and charged with four counts of burglary and three counts of theft.

He appeared at Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday, where an application for extradition was granted.
The man is accused of two break-ins at Ruffell Jewellers in Mitchell Street last year.
On each occasion, goods worth $10,000 were taken.

The shop also sustained a smashed glass door, window and cabinets in the burglaries, which occurred within six weeks of each other, in September and November.
The man will face Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday.
