A man allegedly threatened to burn his mother's home down, and physically and verbally attacked her, a court has heard.

The 25-year-old man was arrested this week for breaching bail and a family violence intervention order through his alleged crimes against his mother.
He unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The court heard a family violence intervention order was put in place to protect the man's mother.
But the man has since been accused of verbally abusing his mother daily, and kicking her out of the only bedroom in her flat.
He allegedly threatened to burn the unit down when he was told to leave, and on one occasion it was alleged he attacked her while she lay on the couch, pulling her hair with force.
The court was told he allegedly said to her: "I can disintegrate your face with my fist if I want to".
The man is also accused of throwing and breaking his mother's phone, and throwing a bottle of cordial over her while she used the toilet.
The next day the woman used a friend's phone to report the alleged incidents to police.
Police went to the home but received no answer.
Fearing for the woman's safety, they gained entry and found the man inside.
He told them he had not answered the door as he did not feel like being arrested.

During his bail application, the man told the court he was not a criminal and he had a friend he could stay with while on bail.
But the friend was not available to give evidence to the court.
Magistrate Megan Aumair found there were not exceptional circumstances to grant bail - the threshold the man had to meet - and he was at risk of offending if he were granted bail.
Ms Aumair remanded the man in custody to appear at court again in January.
