The organisation was funded to assist Macedon Ranges residents experiencing financial stress. Assistance could include vouchers or help with a one-off bill.
The service at Cobaw Community Health ends on January 1, with federal funding flowing to a number of other providers in the Bendigo area.
CatholicCare, Community Information and Support Victoria, Haven; Home, Safe, The Salvation Army, and Uniting are among the funded providers.
The government said there was no reduction in emergency relief funding in the Bendigo area and did not expect any service gaps.
The Bendigo area receives $323,394 a year of emergency relief funding.
