Police have confirmed a 24-year-old man from the Bendigo region died after a crash on Fogartys Gap Road yesterday evening.
A police spokesperson said investigations are ongoing an no conclusions as to the cause of the crash have been reached.
Update, Thursday 6.15pm
Police are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in Harcourt North.
Emergency services were called to Fogartys Gap Road about 5pm to reports a car had come off the road and crashed into a tree.
The sole male occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have closed off Fogartys Gap Road while the scene is being assessed.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined.

A person has died in a crash on Fogartys Gap Road at Harcourt North.
The CFA received the call at 5.05pm on Thursday.
Fogartys Gap road has been closed to the Calder Freeway.
Police are on scene investigating.
