KANGAROO Flat's Lachlan McKay had a day to remember in the Bendigo District Cricket Association juniors on Saturday, taking a hat-trick in the under-14A division.

Playing against Strathfieldsaye at Club Court McKay's figures of 3-7 off three overs included a hat-trick late in the innings.
McKay got his first two wickets with bowled dismissals and then secured the hat-trick thanks to a sharp catch by team-mate Matthew Holmes at mid-wicket.
McKay's hat-trick helped Kangaroo Flat to an eight-run win in the one-day encounter.
Strathfieldsaye made 6-91 off its 25 overs after being sent in before the Roos replied with 3-99.
Elsewhere across the junior competition at the weekend Strathfieldsaye's Chas Pickering made an entertaining half-century in the Jets' win over Kangaroo Flat at Tannery Lane in the under-16A division.
Batting at No.3, Pickering took just 24 balls to blast an unbeaten 50, which was laced with nine boundaries.
Also in the under-16A competition top side Bendigo United's batsmen were in fine form, cracking 3-180 in reply to Bendigo's 60.
Huntly-North Epsom's under-14A side also produced an impressive batting performance, crunching 3-194 against Bendigo (84).
The BDCA's junior competition will now break over the Christmas/New Year period before resuming in early February.
