Bendigo First Constable Richard Cairnes said the man was assisting police with their inquiries, following a spate of criminal damage in the early hours of Friday morning.
A truck with smashed front windows was left in a Williamson Street car park.
First Constable Cairnes urged anyone with information to contact the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
