Firefighters have brought the Lockington bush-fire under control but a public advice message remains in place for people to the southeast of the blaze.
The CFA is asking people to keep roads clear to that emergency vehicles can respond.
The fire is the second of two in central Victoria's north in the space of a few hours. An hour's drive north-west of Lockington firefighters have responded to a structure fire.

THE Country Fire Authority is responding to a structure fire in Mincha Road, north of Mincha.
The fire has destroyed the structure.
Seven Country Fire Authority trucks are en route or have arrived.
Firefighters at the scene say the fire has been contained to the structure, a CFA spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, nine crews are responding to a four hectare grassfire that has been quickly contained in Lockington, which is approximately one hour south-east of the structure fire.
An advice message has been issued for the fire, with smoke expected to be visible form nearby communities.
People have been urged to keep roads clear so emergency services can respond.
