IT WAS a round for the underdog in the Bendigo Bowls Division on Saturday, with four stunning upsets.
Power teams Bendigo East and Eaglehawk were both among the beaten teams in a remarkable round six.
Kangaroo Flat inflicted only the second loss on Bendigo East in its past 22 games with a superb 100-84 win at home.
The 16-shot victory was full of maturity for the Flat given it led early, soaked up a challenge from the Beasties and then kicked away late.
"It was a very encouraging result and great to see some reward for hard work," Kangaroo Flat skipper David Keenan said.
"We were about 20 shots up at half-time, but they got back to within around three shots at one point. But to then kick away at the finish was really pleasing."
Both teams won two rinks apiece, with the key result for the Flat being Paul Moller's 32-11 win over Brad Marron.
Marron had started the day undefeated and the BBD's leading skipper, but Moller's rink was superb in recording the 21-shot win.

The loss was the first Bendigo East has suffered since being beaten by Eaglehawk on December 8 last year.
* South Bendigo handed Eaglehawk a 28-shot drubbing at home.
The Hawks could muster just 66 shots for the game as they were beaten 94-66.
South's Brad Holland is now the competition's only unbeaten skipper after his rink's 25-12 win over Phil Godkin.
Godkin has taken over the rink of Brayden Byrne, who is facing a stint on the sidelines with a broken wrist.
Mitch Sidebottom's 26-14 win over the star-studded rink of Darren Burgess was also a telling blow delivered by South Bendigo, which has moved into second position.
Eaglehawk's meagre score of 66 is the lowest of the season so far.
The Hawks, though, also have the season's highest score of 126 against Castlemaine in round four.

* Inglewood notched its first victory of the season, triumphing by 18 shots at home over Bendigo.
Led by a resounding performance from the rink of Rob Day, the Woodies prevailed 98-80.
Day's rink bowled sensationally to dish out a 31-8 hiding to Andrew Brown that set Inglewood on the path to victory.
* Castlemaine hit back with vengeance against Golden Square.
Having lost its previous two games by a combined 73 shots, Castlemaine decimated Square by 43, winning 124-81 at home.
Castlemaine's Greg Podesta (+18) and Darren Taylor (+23) both won their rinks by double figures.
Despite the one-sided result, there was one close tussle with a 26-all tie between the Maine's Rick Parr and Square's Garri Conforti.
