MORE DRAFT - Bendigo Pioneer Flynn Perez drafted by North Melbourne

MORE DRAFT - Brodie Kemp and Thomson Dow picked up in AFL National Draft

THE Sydney Swans' selection of Brady Rowles in Friday's rookie draft has spread the number of Bendigo Pioneer draftees across 13 of the 18 AFL clubs for the 2020 season.

Rowles was selected by the Swans with selection four in the rookie draft following fellow Pioneers Brodie Kemp (Carlton, No.17), Thomson Dow (Richmond, No.21) and Flynn Perez (North Melbourne, No.35) having been earlier picked in the National Draft.

Following this week's drafts there will be 22 former Bendigo Pioneers on AFL lists next year, with the most experienced being Geelong captain Joel Selwood.

Having been taken with Pick 7 in 2006 by the Cats, Selwood is closing in on the 300-game mark. The three-time premiership star and 2007 Rising Star winner enters 2020 on 295 games.

Carlton and Port Adelaide have the most Pioneer draftees on their 2020 lists, each with three apiece.

Kemp on Wednesday night joined Paddy Dow and Lochie O'Brien as fellow first round draft picks from the Pioneers at Carlton, while the Port Adelaide list includes the former Pioneers' trio of co-captain Ollie Wines, Joe Atley and Kane Farrell.

Of the 22 former Pioneers on AFL lists next year, four - Selwood, Dustin Martin, Jake Stringer and Tom Cole - have won premierships.

Richmond's Martin also has a Brownlow Medal and two Norm Smith Medals.
