The event will see more than 60 motorcycle riders take to the Bendigo Go Kart Club's track in a race that will test their nerves, skills and wallets.

Off the track, festivities will include full catering, a jumping castle for children, a silent auction of donated postie bikes, raffles and merchandise sales.

The Motopostie GP is the brainchild of longtime Bendigo Health supporter John Hazeldene and his family's business, Hazeldenes, which has donated $10,000 as a major sponsor of the day.

Mr Hazeldene purchased a fleet of 98 postie bikes ahead of Sunday's charity race as he set about turning the dream into a fundraising reality.

The event will also feature professional motorcyclist Laura Brown from WNR Racing.

Ms Brown is a top ranked rider in the Australian Supersport 300 championship series, and she will ride alongside former Australian Superbike champion Marty Craggill.

Local riders are also expected to showcase their skills and competitive nature, including Mark Buckell, who has been in regular training for the race and is a highly experienced motorcycle racer.

A large number of Bendigo business managers are also intending on displaying their skill or "lack of" on the day as well, including prominent accountant and AFS and Associates partner Graeme Stewart. Mr Stewart has also been part of the organising committee behind the Motopostie initiative.

Organisers hope to have a full complement of riders and bikes take part in various classes, culminating in the 2019 motopostie GP towards the end of the day. This will be a team's relay race and will start via a Le Mans start.

The Bendigo Health Cancer Centre wellness program provides important support services to cancer patients through their cancer journey and recovery.

Those services include a free seven-week rehabilitation program to support and encourage cancer patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle during and after their treatment.

The program is available to cancer patients during and following their treatment. The program includes education, exercise and relaxation facilitated by allied health staff.

Education includes advice on exercise, rest and sleep, diet and nutrition, and coping strategies.

The radiotherapy centre also provides a free program for Peter Mac radiotherapy patients to prevent and manage fatigue. The four week program includes education, exercise and relaxation and is run by physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other allied health staff.

Online admission tickets for Sunday's fun-filled Motopostie GP day are $7.70, with children under 9 years free, while tickets on the day are $10.
