Bendigo's 16-point loss on Sunday gave the Boomers a clean 3-0 sweep over the Spirit.
However, import Martè Grays said the team was going to return to the court stronger than ever.
"The loss we took is only fuel to our fire," Grays said.
"We're going to bounce back and get our minds right."
For the first three quarters there was only four points between the teams at each break, which looked to pave the way for a thrilling final quarter.
But the Spirit dropped off in the fourth quarter which gave the Boomers an opening to secure the win, final scores 75-59.
"We gave up a lot of plays, turnovers and our defence just wasn't there," Grays said.
"We knew we had it in us. The first three quarters were great, going forward we just have to stay in the fight.
"We need to focus on defence and doing all of the little things to finish out games."
Fellow import Becca Tobin said training sessions ahead of Friday's match against Sydney would be focused on rebounding and finishing out plays.
"And our defence, we haven't finished out games properly and haven't played all four quarters," Tobin said.
"Sometimes we get tired and wander off on our own and not continue playing as a team."
Tobin said the Boomers were a talented team, but that the Spirit were just as skilled.
"We also have players who are skilled in every position on the court," Tobin said.
During rounds seven and eight of the WNBL season, each home team will wear orange for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in support of UN Women of Australia.
In addition to supporting the 16 Days of Activism, the Spirit want to give back to the Bendigo community and to the women and children who are in, or have come from difficult situations.
The team will be collecting goods for the Centre For-Non Violence in Bendigo, which is a not for profit organisation with the ultimate goal to prevent family violence and homelessness across the Loddon region.
There will be a collection point at the game on Friday.
Suggested items include blankets, children's toys, pencil cases, gift vouchers (six month expiry or longer), crockery, nappies, toiletries and linen etc.
