About 150 teenagers hit the track at Epsom on Monday night for the Bendigo Pioneers' first pre-season training session.

The training session marked the first in charge of new under-18 boys coach Damian Truslove and new under-18 girls coach Cherie O'Neill.
The Bendigo division of the Pioneers boys and girls programs kicked-off at Epsom-Huntly Recreation Reserve, while the Swan Hill region also started on Monday night.
The Echuca-Moama and Mildura divisions start on Tuesday night.

"Having the groups train on different nights gives us the chance to get around and have a look at everyone before Christmas,'' Pioneers regional talent manager Steve Sharp said.
"All up across the region we have about 300 kids doing pre-season training in the program and we have 73 staff, including volunteers.
"It's a big program to put together and we're lucky that we have some very good staff.
"We're really excited to get things started, particularly with our new coaches on board. Damian and Cherie are going to be excellent."
