Cr Pearce was elected at a special council meeting on Wednesday night, with Councillor Mandi Mees also re-elected as Deputy Mayor.
"I'm very proud and very honoured," Cr Pearce said. "I want to thank my fellow councillors for their support in the past year and for electing me again."
Cr Pearce said the council achieved a lot in the past year, including developing its waste and resource recovery strategy, and continuing its action on climate change.
"We've had strong and good government," she said. "We've been listening to the community and making sure they're involved.
"The volunteers are really the heart of our Shire and we want people to know that we're always looking to hear their thoughts."
Cr Pearce said a number of big projects like the Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct and the Daylesford to Hanging Rock Rail Trail would be focused on in her next term as mayor.
"This will be the fourth year of our term as councillors," Cr Pearce said. "We're going to gather together and collate where we're at with what we wanted to achieve.
"We will look at ways to ensure the projects are completed."
