The 23-year-old pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court to careless driving and using a mobile phone while driving, in relation to the incident in February this year.
While driving the loaded B-double on the Bridgewater-Serpentine Road, he used his phone to film an oncoming dust storm, sending two videos via Snapchat.
The footage showed the truck cross the double centre lines at 100 km/h.

When interviewed by police, he admitted to careless driving.
"I travel on that road to Swan Hill regularly, I don't want a truck coming towards me on the wrong side of the road, anymore than you do," magistrate Patrick Southey said.
Mr Southey took into account the man's otherwise good record and his guilty plea in sentencing.
The man was put on a 12-month good behaviour bond, without conviction.
