On the back of winning the club championship last weekend, Muir was the overnight leader after recording a strong two under-par 69 in the first round on Saturday.
Muir's consistency didn't falter come Sunday with the now plus two handicapped golfer finishing the second round at one under-par.
Muir's final score was three under-par 139 to take out the John Fitzpatrick Memorial Open for the third time in his 25 years at the club.
Muir has played since he was a junior learning the game at the Shepparton Golf Club where he played with his father.
During his decades on the course, he has picked up a thing or two.
"My swing is going okay at the moment, it doesn't tend to change much, but maybe as you get old, you become more smarter," Muir laughed.
"It's all about ball placement, need to get it in the right spot."
Ball placement was the trick to Muir securing the victory.
"I was hitting plenty of fairways and greens which gave me a few birdie chances," he said.

Bendigo golf news
It's been a busy few weeks around the world for Bendigo golfers.
Fellow Neangar Park golfer Andrew Martin finished T4 at the Thailand Open last weekend.
In the final round, Martin had a birdie putt on the 18th hole to force his way into a play-off to decide the Thailand Open title.
However, the putt went wide and he was forced to settle for a tie for fourth - his best finish on the Asian Tour.
Another of Neangar Park GC's products - Lucas Herbert - just wrapped up his second year on the European Tour.
After a challenging year on the road, the 23-year-old is now fired-up and ready to hit course in 2020.
Hear more from Herbert here in a story written by the Bendigo Advertiser's Adam Bourke.
