MATT Gilmour delivered a one-day batting master class as Elmore demolished the young Goornong by 282 runs in the Northern United Cricket Association on Saturday.
Opener Gilmour blasted a blistering 169 in Elmore's mammoth total of 9-322 off its 40 overs at Goornong.
The Redbacks scored at 8.05 runs per over in the batting onslaught.
Gilmour's devastating knock was the NUCA's highest score since Goornong's Jesse O'Connell made an unbeaten 162 against Heathcote during the 2015-16 season.
Gilmour put on 99 for the first wicket with Bailey Boyack (48), while his innings ended when he was the sixth wicket to fall with the score on 276 when caught by Pat O'Brien off the bowling of Joe McCormick (2-48).
Following their batting blitz the Redbacks then routed Goornong for just 40, with Jim Grogan bagging 5-2 off five overs, with his scalps all top-five batsmen.
Darin Ede (20) scored half of Goornong's 40 runs.
* Bagshot notched a 30-run victory over Calivil.
Opener Ben Hamilton's 51 helped to set up Bagshot's 8-128 after the Razorbacks won the toss and batted.
Calivil batted out its 40 overs, but was restricted to 8-98 in reply to remain the only team still without a win after six rounds.
Captain David Dennis (34) was the best with the bat for Calivil.
* Colbinabbin defeated Heathcote (6-145).
UPPER LODDON CRICKET ASSOCIATION
Arnold's Cameron Dale and Phil Scholes both scored centuries as the Redbacks belted the Boort-Yando attack in the Upper Loddon Cricket Association.
The Redbacks crunched 1-269 off their 35 overs, with Dale cracking 123 n.o. and Scholes 116 n.o.
The day started positively for Boort-Yando when Drew Crilly (1-38) had Matt Giri (3) caught by Brian Minogue to have the Redbacks 1-3.
However, Boort-Yando spent the rest of the innings chasing leather as Dale and Scholes shared in an unbroken stand of 266.
Boort-Yando was bowled out for 116 in reply, with Gary Zanker finishing unbeaten on 40.
* Matthew Rowe and Jayden Leach both scored half-centuries to lead Kingower to a win over Newbridge.
After Newbridge compiled 5-151 batting first, Kingower responded with 6-182.
Opening the Kingower batting, 16-year-old Rowe scored his first senior half-century with 66, while Leach added 59, with the pair putting on 70 for the second wicket.
The 31-run defeat was Newbridge's first loss of the season.
* The improved Serpentine defeated Inglewood by 41 runs.
Serpentine successfully chased down Inglewood's 6-129, replying with 6-170.
Serpentine opener Charlie Bellenger made 50 retired, while Justin Laird also ticked the runs over with 41.
Inglewood's Robert Stranger made the game's highest score of 49 n.o.
Having won just one game last season Serpentine already has three on the board after six rounds.
