Members pushed themselves to the limit, with several setting new state records and personal bests.
Bendigo Weightlifting Club coach Troy Hewkins said the recent performances were a testament to the members' determination to succeed.
"As a coach, this is what drives me," Hewkins said.
"I also understand how fulfilling it is to achieve something they haven't accomplished before.
"This is what we strive for at the club. We never make people go for goals that are too far out of reach."
Hewkins - who himself is a seasoned lifter- knows all to well the challenges of the sport.
"It doesn't always go to plan for everyone, it can all be very challenging," Hewkins said.
But with a bit of determination and hardwork, anything is possible.
One of the biggest accomplishments for the club was at its recent Open event.
"Out of our four female lifters in the competition, they completed six lifts each, 24 in total," Hewkins said.
"Out of those 24 lifts, 22 were successful."
The Bendigo Weightlifting Club may have only been in its current form for around a year, but it was initially the Galaxie Weightlifting Club run out of Harcourt by Hewkins' close friend John Clow.
With aspirations to put Bendigo back on the weightlifting map, Hewkins brought the club back to life and has been integral to its recent growth.
The club operates out of the Human Mechanics gym in Epsom and is supported greatly by its founder Arj Perera.
