Shane McKerrow, 43, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court this week to speeding and failing a drug test on September 22, 2018.
That morning, police pulled McKerrow over on the Heathcote-Rochester Road at Ladys Pass, having checked his speed at 159 km/h in the 100 km/h zone.
Oral fluid tests revealed he had methamphetamine in his system.

The car - which belonged to the winemaker's then-employer - was immediately impounded for 30 days.
McKerrow told the court this week that he was speeding because he was not paying attention while driving the "high performance" car.
He said he had been "shocked" to discover he had methamphetamine in his system as he had not knowingly taken it, but told the court he had been at a party the night before.
Magistrate Marc Sargent cancelled and disqualified McKerrow's licence for 13 months.
McKerrow was also convicted and fined $1750 plus costs.
