The dig occurs each year at the end of the spring tulip display and gives local gardeners the chance to take home some of the tens of thousands of bulbs for their own garden.
People can buy up to four bags at $5 each and fill them with the bulbs.

Previous events have seen people keen to grab their own piece of the City's gardens line up in their dozens, well before starting time.
Those hoping to score some bulbs are advised to bring their own garden fork: only small forks and spades are allowed.
This year's dig will begin at 8am on Monday, November 4 at the Conservatory Gardens, next to the Law Courts.
