Clark was left stranded on 99 not out after his side was bowled out for 208 by Sandhurst in the under-16A game at Weeroona College. Clark added 132 for the third wicket with Jaidyn Taylor (72).
Sandhurst leg-spinner Tyler Howard took 3-25. The Dragons will resume next Saturday at 0-33.
Nevins made 90 not out in the Roos' under-16 total of 7-293 against Strathdale-Maristians at Crusoe College. Team-mate Hayden Smith compiled an unbeaten 78.
