A TWO-TIME championship player with Bendigo Spirit, Chantella Perera has become the latest WNBL basketballer to make her way to the AFLW.
Perera, who played in four championships in total, was today (Tuesday) drafted by expansion club West Coast Eagles with pick number 101 in the AFLW draft.
A total of 101 players found their way onto AFLW lists, after the Western Bulldogs passed on their pick 88.
Perera, who played 45 games with the Spirit and also played with the Bendigo Braves in the former SEABL competition, has spent the past three seasons playing football with Hawthorn's VFL Women's team.
She won the Lisa Hardeman Medal as best afield in the 2018 VFLW grand final, won by the Hawks against Geelong.
Perera was a member of the Spirit's 2012-13 and 2013-14 championship rosters and played 45 games in total for the club.
She also won a pair of championships with the Canberra Capitals in 2008-09 and 2009-10.
The former guard has been a mainstay in defence for the Hawks during her time in the VFLW.
Perera is joined at West Coast by her former Hawks team-mate Talia Radan, who was chosen with pick 92.
This will be Radan's third stint in the AFLW following stops at Melbourne and Adelaide.
The AFLW has expanded to 14 clubs this season, after the addition of Richmond, West Coast, Gold Coast and St Kilda.
Western Bulldogs used pick in the draft on Northern Knights midfielder Gabby Newton.
The Bulldogs obtained the first pick when Monique Conti - a former Melbourne Boomers WNBL basketballer - was traded to expansion club Richmond.
