The club's members travel from across Australia to meet for an annual rally.
This year the 800 vehicle-strong contingent has set up camp in Elmore.
"It's a city on wheels," rally manager Kath Breen said.
"We've created a whole township here, we have everything from shops, entertainment, food stalls and seminars."
Frank Heppell from Grafton NSW travelled to the rally with his hand-built caravan Iowna.
Over the years his love for caravans has continued to grow into one of his main passions, and a few years ago he decided to take it to the next level and build his own.
A men's shed that he was involved with had just finished undertaking renovations and he was looking to find his next project.
"We had a big open area in the shed so I asked the guys If I could build a caravan there," Mr Heppell said.
"I would work in the shed everyday, go home for dinner and then afterwards I would continue drawing and sketching parts I would then build the next day."
From the first sketches through to when the caravan hit the road was approximately three months and 500 hours of workmanship.
But what has kept Mr Heppell on the road for so many years are all of the friendships formed along the way.
"It's the friendships. I miss all my friends when I go home," Mr Heppell said.
"But as soon as there's a rally coming up, pack the caravan and away I go."
The rally is being held at the Elmore Events Centre for the first time ever, a site which Mrs Breen said was perfect for the occasion.
"It's flat, well laid out with underground power and water," Mrs Breen said.
"We had our eye on this site for a long time. We normally face the challenge of setting up on ovals with no roads and power, but everything here was ready to go."
The rally wouldn't be possible without the endless help of the 240 volunteers who keep the city on wheels alive.
"All of the volunteers work in different areas such as catering, helping with the sites, entertainment, transport and so on," Mrs Breen said.
"They are vital to our rally, it just couldn't be done without them."

Each year the rally takes on a different theme, and for the meet in Elmore it's "Down on the Farm".
"That's where we are, right in the heart of a farming area," Mrs Breen said.
"We're very conscience that this area needs more rain and a lot of the members have come from and travelled through drought-stricken areas.
"So we will be raising some funds for drought relief through rural aid in addition to on Wednesday we will be having pink day for the McGrath Foundation.
"October is pink up your town month, so we thought why not have a pink up your rally day."
Kim Atkinson was recently appointed as chairman of the CMCA, but motorhomes and caravans have been part of her life since she was a young child.
"I used to go around in caravans with my parents when I was a baby, so I have been enjoying the countryside all of my life," Ms Atkinson said.
"My partner and I spend at least six to eight months of the year on the road...and we're certainly looking forward to many more years on the road."
On Saturday there will be an open day at the rally which will feature stalls from the Rochester Market and several motorhomes on display, the public are able to attend for a gold coin donation.
The 34th National CMCA Rally is being held at the Elmore Events Centre from October 20-27.
