Eaglehawk's line-up of Chris Kadri, Terry Hicks, Antony Langdon and David Chisholm ran the 4 x 400m relay in 4 minutes 21.82 seconds.
The Hawks broke the centre's record for the 50-plus class record by 20 seconds.
The previous best at club level for a 50-plus men's team in the event was 4:41 achieved by Bendigo Harriers on November 23, 2002 at the La Trobe University Bendigo athletics complex.
Eaglehawk's young guns - Kenan Seebah, Mitchell O'Neill, Angus McKindlay and James Bentley - ran the first of the 4 x 400m relay heats on Saturday in 3:40.61.
Another highlight of Saturday's meet was the duel between South Bendigo's Jake Hilson and Eaglehawk's James Bentley in the first of the 400m heats.
Hilson fought on for victory in 51.07 as Bentley's time of 51.29 was below the qualifying mark for this season's national track and field titles.
Round three in AV State League drew 112 competitors to Bendigo's meet.
Athletes in fine form included University's Craig Green and Andrea Smith in the 5000m; Eaglehawk's Lachlan Start, long jump and javelin; South Bendigo's Anastazia Robinson in the 100m, and Emma Berg at shot put.
Meanwhile, several students with links to Bendigo clubs struck gold at last Friday's running of the School Sport Victoria secondary schools track and field titles at Melbourne's Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.
Bree Heiden, a talented multi-code athlete from Bendigo Senior SC, reigned supreme in the 18-20 years discus, 35.66m, and shot put, 10.44m.
A newcomer to Bendigo Harriers, Logan Sandland added to his record-breaking spree.
A student at Catholic College Wodonga, Sandland won the 12-13 discus, 47.16m, and shot put, 17.01m, which broke the SSV records.
Bendigo South East's distance running star Jayden Padgham won the 14-boys 1500m in 4:32.69.
Padgham competes with Bendigo University.
