The man, of no fixed place of address, handed himself into Echuca Police Station at about 8.45pm on Monday evening.
Police pursued a driver after attempting to pullover a Holden Commodore in Rochester at 10am on Monday.
After police effectively used stop sticks, the driver stole a Ford Ranger and avoided police before the Ford was found dumped in Elmore where police believe a Mazda CX-5 was then stolen.
The stolen Mazda CX-5 believed to be involved in the incident has been recovered.
MONDAY: POLICE used a helicopter to search for a rogue driver near Rochester on Monday morning, after the driver evaded a police intercept.
About 10am police tried to intercept a Holden Commodore, but the driver sped off.
Police set up roving patrols, rather than pursuing the car.
Officers used stop sticks successfully, but the driver drove to Mount Terrick Road, dumped the Holden and stole a Ford Ranger.
The Ranger avoided the police. It was later found dumped in Elmore.
Investigators believe a Mazda CX-5 was then stolen. This car is still outstanding.
