BENDIGO'S Sikh community has invited people of all cultures and faiths to join them celebrating the 550th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Sikhism.

The community will hold a multicultural parade to celebrate a Nagar Kirtan, for the birth of Guru Nanak.
Organiser Sandeep Singh said he had received a very positive response from different cultural and faith groups in Bendigo.
"It's not only for Sikh people, it's for all communities. All other communities, all communities all different faith groups will be walking with us, will be participating in the parade," Mr Singh said.
"We have invited all the different faith groups, different cultural backgrounds. We have invited from Stupa, the Buddhists, we have invited the Muslim community, we have invited the Chrsitians, the Catholic people."
Festivities will include Sikh marshal arts, tea and food and drink.
Multicultural Community Parade, Sunday October 20, 11am. Parade starts at Ulumbarra Theatre, ends in Rosalind Park.
