The policy, if adopted, would provide more structure and guidance for those seeking to establish a community garden and clearly state the roles and responsibilities of all involved.

It comes in response to community enquiries about establishing gardens, prompted by two other strategies.

The draft policy will be open for public comment for four weeks.
