The Neil Dyer-trained Latest Bentley followed up an eye-catching fourth last start with a fighting 1469m win in a benchmark 58.
The six-year-old gelding notched up win number three at start number 30 for Dyer, who has returned from his regular raid on Darwin's winter racing.
Brilliantly ridden by Jamie Mott, Latest Bentley was able to mow down the early race pacemaker Mary's Pride to win by less than a length.
It was an all Kyneton quinella, with Mary's Pride trained by George Osborne, who had to settle for a pair of placings, after Bella finished third in an earlier race.
Sutton Grange trainer Brent Stanley collected seconds with Think About Me and Monetizing, while Bendigo newcomer Nick Smart scored a third with his six-year-old stayer Docker Pav.
