Curnow polled 105 votes to edge out Josh Formosa (96), with leading goal-kicker Lachlan Sharp (124 goals) awarded the most consistent award.
Formosa was voted the Storm's best player during the finals, which culminated in the club winning its fourth premiership.

Stephanie Freemantle claimed the Storm's A-grade netball best and fairest with 69 votes ahead of Caitlyn Hamilton (51), with Lucy Spalding the winner of the Storm spirit award.
In other major awards, Michelle Reed won the Tracy Wilson Memorial best club person award, while Grant MacDonald was awarded life membership.
